Cappadocia

It is considered a historical region in Central Anatolia, East of Nowshahr Province, east of Nowshahr Province, east of the Anatolian Plateau, the tourist region of Turkey.

Cappadocia was settled in Turkey by the Persians, then the Hittites, then the Assyrians and the Greeks, and in the Middle Ages, the Armenians settled there during the Byzantine era, and then the region was invaded after that by the Turkish tribes, and the Turkish nationalities became the population of Cappadocia since 1915 AD.

Cappadocia is famous for its thermal balloons, which are considered one of the most attractive tourist activities in Cappadocia, and they are abundant in Goreme.

1- Monk’s Valley (Paşabaği) 

Goreme is one of the most famous tourist areas in Cappadocia, Turkey, and it is a historical city located in the Cappadocia Valley in the Turkish province of Nowshahr, in central Anatolia.

Göreme includes ancient rock-cut houses and ancient churches, the most important of which are the Tavakoli Church and the Apple Church, in addition to the dovecote towers. The area was also famous for the “spell chimneys”, which are natural mountain chimneys that spread in the village.

2- Zelve Open-Air Museum in Goreme

Zelve Valley, currently known as the Zelve Open Air Museum, is located 10 km from Goreme on Avanos road. The valley is considered one of the most important landmarks of Turkish Cappadocia, and includes a group of ancient buildings and churches.

3- Derinkuyu Underground City

Derinkuyu (Turkish: Derinkuyu) is an ancient, multi-storey underground city located in Cappadocia, Turkey, within the province of Nowshahr. The city contains ventilation holes to provide fresh air to the lowest floors of the city.

4- Ihlara Valley

Ihlara Valley (Turkish: Ihlara Vadisi) is located near Mount Hassan and Mount Melendiz, two of the three volcanoes of Cappadocia in the state of Aksaray. The valley is about 100 meters deep and was formed by the Melendez River thousands of years ago.

The valley is considered one of the most beautiful tourist places in Cappadocia, Turkey, which attracts tourists from all over the world.
